random little things

I wasn’t blessed with a good height but I’m not that small either. So usually, I don’t wear clothes that make me look short. But when I saw the hottest skirt this season, I can’t help but drool over these midi skirts. Usually I would go for short skirts, short shorts or just go with skinny jeans to elongate my legs. But these midi skirts are so cute I think I want to give it a try.

Here are a couple of ways on how to wear a midi skirt:

- Midi Skirt pair with a plain white tee with a nice necklace. A pair of ankle boots would be nice for this outfit

- Midi skirt pair with a chiffon button down shirt with a pair of Mid Heel Knee High Boot. Don’t forget the skinny belt!

- Midi skirt pair with a fitted long sleeves top and ballet shoes

- Midi skirt pair with a plain shirt with nice accessories. A pair of ballet shoes would be nice too

Since I usually go for comfortable outfits, I would go for the third and last option. Wearing ballet shoes are my thing these days especially when the kids are in tow. I noticed that these midi skirts are nice to wear and it looks comfortable too. The nice thing about it is that, it’s not too short to be conscious about it every now and then, and it’s not even too long either that sometimes it would touch the ground when you walk. Well, I guess I have a reason to go to the mall these days – to buy the midi skirt that I’m eyeing for weeks now!

As part of their foundation week, DS’ school had their club extravaganza today. Each of the clubs prepared a special number for the event. There were also various intermission numbers in between. DS is part of the book lovers club and they did a book reading and a dance number after. I tell you there were a huge bunch of talented kids in there. There was a band composed of teenage kids – drums, keyboard, guitar and blackstar ht-5 even – they know how their way around those instruments. A pair danced ballet. There were kids who sang and danced. And one who played the piano. I am just hoping that DS was able to get even a bit of inspiration from the young performers.

Finally, I can now own a zipper-less bag. Well I actually have one already. I got it on sale from Mango. Anyway, I bought this big zippered transparent (made of plastic) pouch from SM that fits perfectly inside the bag. Inside the pouch is where I put all my things. Now I never have to worry about losing my things as they are safe and sound in the pouch. I will share a photo of it soon (and I hope I can keep that promise!). I just want to have my things a little more presentable and neat. I plan to get a little pouch to hold the little stuff and maybe a leather wallet first.

I want one. To hold our snacks and my son’s things when we are out of the house.

I haven’t been to the mall for a week now. And that did save us a lot! I am looking forward to weekend however. Hopefully I can go to the mall by then. I have a few things on my list that I need to buy. I need some pouches to organize my things in the bag. Little knick knacks for the kitchen are likewise on my list, too. A big box, or bag, or whatever, to organize some items in the closet. Plastic envelopes, or leather briefcases, or better yet a safe, to hold important documents. Maybe clothes and shoes for me, to relieve my stress. Ha!

Currently trying to have my Flickr up-to-date. I have a looong way to go, I tell you. Recent uploads are still in private though. I do hope to find the time to make some available for friends and families.

Doing a bit of shopping of digiscrapping materials. Inspired to do project life, digital. Let’s see where this “inspiration” will take. It’s February and I need to catch up for January.

Itching to go to the mall to check out Accessorize sale (see post below). I have been looking for cute little purses to organize the things in my bag, I hope I can find what I’m looking for in there. Maybe I can find a bag too. For some reason, I have been wanting to get a new bag. Maybe I still haven’t found the bag that I like. I remember having a bag when I was still working that I used until the zipper gave up. I so loved that bag as it was not heavy and I could put all my things in there without looking so bulky. I loved that it maintains its shape and my things never gets messed up when I move. Now, where to find a similar bag.

I did take piano lessons for a while. Not because I liked to but because my mom wanted me to try it out. I wasn’t interested, and as expected, I stopped just when I was almost ready for a recital. And just like my mother, I am likewise introducing the piano to DS little by little. When he grows up a bit more and when his activities lessen, I will make him try it out. The last time I asked him though, he wanted to play the guitar. I’m sure DH will be delighted if he does learn to play the guitar. All the more reason for him to get a tech 21 trademark 60 finally. We’ll see this summer.

I just came across a post about the various outlet stores in Robinsons Starmills Pampanga. I tell you, if this one’s been a little nearer, I’ll be there in a heartbeat. I just love sales and I love outlet stores. We just visited the outlet stores in Sta. Rosa and I was finally able to get a brand new pair of rubber shoes, less 20%. How I wish there was a toy store outlet near us so DS can enjoy our trip also and maybe we can get him a couple of cars, yo yos or whatever he likes. I noticed that there isn’t a store for kids, no wonder DS was so bored. I heard though that there’s a toy store outlet in Pampanga. Sigh. Why does it have to be so far?

I am currently in need of great motivation to make a decent post on my blogs. I just don’t have the energy to do that. So many personal things to attend to. And so far I am loving the fact that I am not so harassed with work online. Stress and pressures of real life are more than enough for me.

I thought we already had a name for our small ‘business’. And after so much thought and after registering the domain, we decided to just get back to the basics and use our name. The initially made site will now be a new addition to my poorly maintained ‘homes’. I should be done ordering engraved desk name plates and I can focus on it.

I am so tempted to do project life, digitally, though I am afraid I might not be able to keep up with it. Hopefully I can start next week and I’ll see from there. I have to promise myself though that I won’t pressure myself to document every little thing every single day, or I won’t enjoy the process. I will just use whatever photo I have.
